Butterfly Valley

Butterfly Valley is a must-see location of Fethiye region as famous as the Oludeniz, and it is best reached by small gullet boats.  You will be transferred to the boat for a lazy day's boat cruise. Definitely, it will be one of unforgettable days of your life.  There will be swimming breaks in the Blue Cave before stepping ashore at Butterfly Valley. One of the popular activity of this tour is to climb up to waterfall inside the valley where you can see the rare species of the tiger butterflies, if you are just a little lucky. It is going to be a great trekking experience in all aspects. On the way back, a delicious lunch will be served on the boat. After lunch the boat will stop at the St Nicholas Island (Gemiler Adasi). You can climb up to the top of the island walking through ancient ruins. The panorama at the top is just great. After getting back, you can swim at ‘’Cold Spring Bay’’ where fresh water leaks into the sea, if you dare (!) Return to Fethiye in the evening.

12 Islands boat trip is a holiday classic of Fethiye. 12 Islands boat tours are practiced by 50-150 pax capacity double-Decker boats. The luch usually consists of meat balls/fish or chicken as main meal, pasta, season's salad and fruits. During the cruise it is very likely to  see dolphins and even sea turtles if watch around carefully.

Unless the captain makes changes with the route due to unexpected weather conditions the main stop-overs of this cruise will be in this order: Gobun bay, a very calm bay with crystal clear water. Bay of Cleopatra's bath, where it is supposed to be a Roman bath built for her, which was later destroyed by an earthquake. There are still ruins around. Swimming in the water of the bay is supposedly would make people look 10 years younger and more beautiful. Dockyard (Tersane) Island was once inhabited by Ottoman Greeks, where there was a dockyard. Now copletely isolated, there is a lake-like bay inside the island, hard to notice unless you come very close. There are ruins to see from Greek settlement time. Flat Islands are a group of islands so close to each other, located just across Gocek town. There are optional activities here including water skiing. Either Red Island or Samanlik bay will the last stopover and your last chance to swim.  both having very beautiful environment and crystal clear waters. Red Island is named after its reddish colored ground.

Visiting the amazing white colored travertines, hot spring pools and water terraces have been created by nature in millions of years on the mountain slopes of Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis which has the biggest ancient Necropolis of Turkey with 1200 gravestones. Pamukkale (Hierapolis) is one of the most enchanting and remarkable sights in the whole of Turkey with the great dazzling white plateau, almost 400 feet high, rising in a curtain of stalagmites and shallow pools, giving one into another on hundreds of different levels, and ancient city of Hierapolis located on this plateau. This area is national 'treasure' of the country with its unique wildlife and nature. Tour bus will take you first to Dalyan (Caunos), and there you will board on to a boat going up the river which will take you first to the mud baths and then to a restaurant for lunch and finally to the lovely beach for a long and joyful swim break; where the endemic Caretta Caretta turtles lay their eggs. These turtles can live up to 120 years, and they are in danger of being extinct. High on the cliffs above the Dalyan river you can see magnificently carved Lycian royal rock tombs. In addition to the turtles, the Dalyan delta is also home to many sea creatures like crabs, which can be ordered as a delicious sea food at a little cost. The area between the reeds is a maze of waterways. Enjoy a day of peaceful nature.

This trip is a perfect combination of history and nature. Firstly you will discover one of the most interesting cities of Lycia called Tlos with its interesting mythological stories and mystical history. Then we will drive up to a trout farm of Yakapark for a unique lunch with the accompany of lovely mountain views . Finally have a nice adventure; a short canyon hiking through the incredible gorge of Saklikent (The Hidden Canyon) which is 14 km long and 600 m high.

Tlos lies on the east side of the Xanthos valley, and is dominated by its acropolis. This rocky outcrop slopes up from a plateau with a charming village, but ends on the west, north and northeast in almost perpendicular cliffs. Tlos is known to have been one of the most important religious centers of the Lycian region in Antalya province of Turkey. It is known as the city where mythological hero Bellerophon and his winged flying horse Pegasus lived. Determined as the oldest city of Lycian Region by the archaeological excavations, Tlos dates back to the time before 2000 B.C. The graveyard on the natural rocks of the city acropolis was filled with most elaborate house-type tombs Of Lycia. It is known that the king-type tomb in the necropolis is dedicated to Bellerophon.

Paragliding is the thrill of high altitude flying - in this instance over stunning coastal and mountain scenery. It is an experience the adventure travelers should not miss. 

At around 14:00 depart from Fethiye and climbing up to Babadag Mountain with jeeps. No need for any experience before. After a 30-45 minutes preparation by the instructors and pilots, you will let yourself go down form the top of the mountain tied to a licensed pilot. While the pilot does his job, you can take photos and enjoy an exceptional experience with an exceptional panorama under your feet. 

The launch site is from the towering peak of Baba Dag (Mountain) approximately 1250 meters above the stunning lagoon at Oludeniz. The descent takes approximately thirty minutes and provides a bird’s eye view of Oludeniz, across the deserted ‘ghost village’ of Kayakoy in the Kaya valley and on over the harbor town of Fethiye to the Gulf of Gocek & Fethiye.

Tandem paragliding leaves you free to enjoy the experience in the hands of a friendly and eminently qualified pilot. The canopy resembles a parachute but acts as a fixed wing. Once inflated it takes only a few steps to launch from a gentle slope. Once airborne the pilot has complete control over direction and speed and can soar ridges, rise on warm currents and cover vast distances.

Safety is, of course, of paramount interest. The pilots fly four times daily with all manner of passengers. Each passenger is fully briefed and issued with helmet, boots and flying suit. Additionally all pilots carry communication systems and a reserve parachute. Flights are cancelled if there is any meteorological contra-indication on any given day.
