This tour is available almost everyday from 10:00
am till 14:00.
We
offer this tour free of charges for our gay clients who reserves a
hotel or other tour packages from our websites.
This is the layout of the introduction tour of Istanbul
- You will be picked up from your hotel by our guide at
09:15-10:00 depending on the location of your hotel. The tour
itself will start from Sultanahmet square, and the rest of the tour will
be mainly walking.
- We will provide each of our clients a file consisting of
brochures and maps including schedules of current cultural activities, bus and
ferry boat schedules, maps and addresses of good restaurants,
Turkish baths, shops as well as a free printed gay guide and map of Istanbul.
This will be most update gay guide and the only available printed
gay map of Istanbul prepared by Pride Travel. Remember many gay
venues closes and opens after the Spartacus magazine and the like
are distributed.
- You will visit some interesting destinations near Sultanahmet,
such as Blue Mosque, Hippodrome Area, the museum of Turkish and
Islamic Arts, Grand Bazaar,
Spice Bazaar and other interesting
places in the neighborhood which are not included in regular city
tours. We will give a tea & Nescafe break at a nice Turkish style
cafeteria on the way.
- You will be provided with some very useful general information
such as where to eat and where to shop without being overcharged and
hassled, where to visit, a brief location orientation of the city
etc including how to use public transportation or ferry boats to go interesting districts
of Istanbul. You will also have the opportunity of shopping by the
assistance of your guide if you are interested for about 1 hour
towards the end of the tour..
-At the end of the tour you will be set free at the Sultanahmet
square or will be taken to a famous Turkish bath (for example
Cemberlitas or Cagaloglu Hamam) if you prefer. The entrance fee of
Hamam will not be included and you will be set free at the Hamam
after necessary information is provided.
The tour includes: Any entrance fee to museums, transportation to
Sultanahmet square if necessary, and private gay/gay friendly
guide for our tour clients only.
This tour is also open to other gay people even if they do not
book any service from Pride Travel for a price of
30 Euro
per person.
ATTENTION:
*This tour is organized almost everyday.
If it is
not available on the day you request, we will suggest you the
closest available date during your stay in Istanbul.
*This is a city tour for gay clients but not an
information tour for gay venues and gay life of Istanbul, although
you will be provided some maps and brochures about them. Your
guide will definitely be gay friendly but not necessarily be
gay/lesbian who will know all about gay places. If you
