DAY 1 : BODRUM

Departure Days:  Sundays only.

Bodrum- Hisaronu bay deluxe cruise with air-conditioned luxury gulets


Day 1: BODRUM
Boarding starts at 15:30 from Bodrum Harbour. On the first day, our boat will remain anchored in Bodrum Port for dinner and an overnight stay. Bodrum has a history that goes back to the 12th century B.C. The city which was called 'Halicarnassus' was the birthplace of Herodotus; the 'Father of History' who lived in the 5th century B.C. The 'Mausoleum' of King Mausolus (350 B.C.) one of the Seven Wonders of the World is in this city. The only structure that survived from the Classical Era is the Amphitheatre. It is one of the oldest theatres in Anatolia with a capacity of 13.000 guests and it is still hosting many shows and concerts for the art-lovers of Bodrum. Another place that you should visit when you arrive in Bodrum is the landmark of the city, the 'Castle of Saint Peter'. It is one of the best preserved pieces of architecture with a history dating back to the Middle Ages. 'Myndos Gate' through which Alexander the Great entered Halicarnassus is another place that you should not miss.

Embarking: You can check in to boats after 15:30. Those who came earlier can leave their luggage at our local agent's office until that time.  The cruise boats stay in the marina of Bodrum on the first night of the cruise program, therefore the guests can check-in  to the boats till late evening, which gives you flexibility with arrival time of your flights or buses, especially useful if you are not staying in a hotel in Bodrum the previous night. Thus, you will also have a chance to discover colorful night life of Bodrum on the first day of the cruise. 

Bodrum is the birth place of blue cruising with gullet yachts which are exclusively being organized in Southwestern cost of Turkey. Bodrum is one of the most gay friendly destinations in Turkey and the route is especially recommended to our gay and lesbian clients.

Arrival to Bodrum: There are regular bus connection to Bodrum from all major cities and towns of Turkey. Bodrum-Milas airport is 35 km away from Bodrum and many flight companies operate scheduled and charter flights to Bodrum in Summer season. From the airport there are also Havas Shuttle services in accordance with each planes' arriving to the domestic lines of Bodrum Milas Airport. (approximately 10 Euro pp). Daily ferryboat services from/to Cos and Rhodes to Bodrum are available during the summer season.
 

Day 2: Palamutbuku - Inceburun

Early in the morning we start cruise to Palamutbuku Bay. We will anchor in Ince Burun after lunch and swimming breaks. We will stay in this lovely bay for dinner and overnight stay.
 

Day 3: Aktur - Bencik bays

After breakfast we will cruise to Aktur Bay. Then our first stop will be the Bencik Bay; which has a very narrow entrance but a unique view once you get inside. Bencik is located at the narrowest part of the peninsula that divides Hisaronu Gulf from the Gokova Gulf but it is located at Hisaronu side. In 550s B.C. the Cnidus people wanted to dig a tunnel in the narrowest land piece of the peninsula between the Hisaronu Gulf and the Gökova Gulf as a defense line against the Persians. That way they would make two peninsulas one island to make the defense easier. They started with diligence and put a lot of effort; however, in the end they could not manage and the city was conquered by the Persians.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at Bencik Bay.ygen. Dinner and overnight on board.
 

Day 4: Emel Sayin Bay - Orhaniye - Selimiye

After Breakfast we will anchor at totally impact Emel Sayin Bay and you can enjoy a swimming stop in this lovely bay surrounded with pine forests. For lunch we will dock in Orhaniye. In Orhaniye Bay, you will see unique scenery of a natural tidal formation called 'kiz kumu' (Maiden's Beach). There are so many myths about this reddish sand-path going from the shore to the inner parts of the sea. On a tiny island located in the bay, you can see the wrecks of an antique castle, a sign of an ancient city.

Today, our final destination will be Selimiye for dinner and overnight stay
 

Day 5: Dirsek Buku - Bozburun

After anchoring in Dirsekbuku and taking a swimming stop, we will go to Bozburun which is a small fishing town. This area was popular and suitable for sponge-diving but nowadays the people of the island are no more interested in sponge-diving as it is not financially beneficial and is dangerous. In recent years sponge-diving is replaced by gulet tourism and Bozburun Gulets nowadays could take its place in this sector.
 

Day 6: Datca - Knidos (Cnidus)

Day 7: Poyraz Limanı - Meteor Bay - Bodrum

We cruise early in the morning to Karaada (Black Island). Breakfast and swimming stop will be at Poyraz Bay which is located at the northern side of the island. This is such a nice bay with its turquoise-blue waters. We will be anchoring at Meteor Bay for lunch which is located at the southern side of the island. There is a meteor hole here and this is how the bay got its name. Here you may jump over the platform in to the deep water. You may also take a walk through the under water cave which is very near to Meteor Bay for a small local fee. We will dock in Bodrum Harbour for dinner and overnight stay.
 

Day 8: Bodrum

Above prices will include:
* All services, harbor taxes and yacht insurance.
* Basic snorkeling and fishing equipments and board games.
* 5 o'clock tea break with, cookie, biscuits, cake offer.
* Higher standard and richer breakfast, lunch and dinner than standard cruises.
* 7 nights accommodation in private cabins with en-suite bath/WC and air-condition*
* Air conditioning works minimum 8 hours per day, including mornings and evenings.
* Towels and bed sheets, but still bring personal towels and swimming materials*

Prices will not include.
* Personal travel insurance.
* Airport and hotel transfers from/to boats.
* Optional excursion tours at the stopover places which may be recommended by boat staffs.
* Drinks are not included but available at the boat with very reasonable prices.
* Various surcharges in case of credit card payments ( Visa and Master, and American Express)
 

PAYMENT AND RESERVATION

Payment Procedure: Depending on season we will request some 20-25% of the total price in advance to complete reservation. Remaining payment can be made sometime before / during check in to the boats. Payments can be made online, by various major credit cards or cash.

ATTENTION:
This is not an exclusively gay cruise. Potential of gay tourism in Turkey is not so big for frequent gay cruises, unfortunately. We organize this cruise in cooperation with other non-gay boat operators or boat owners, but we choose the gay friendly ones as much as possible. Therefore it is a coincidence if there will be other gay or lesbian clients joining the same cruise, same day with you. Other participants comes from various travel agencies and are mostly western tourists.
Cabins mostly have 1 double bed and twin (separate) beds are not guaranteed for double booking. Cabin share is not guaranteed for single participants. They need to book a private cabin and pay the corresponding price supplement.
The boats are deluxe quality and the cruise is classified as cabin charter. The cabins are air-conditioned and will have en suite bath/WC. Private charter version of same cruise can be organized if requested. Similar rates can be offered for private groups consisting of some 12-16 people.
There may be small changes with the cruise route. The captain can make some minor changes with the route due to weather conditions and unavoidable technical problems.
What you should bring: Bed sheets and some towels are provided for guests. But still we recommend you to bring your own extra towels as well as swimming and sun bathing materials,  a couple of slippers and walking shoes, a pullover and may be a wind-breaker for windy nights.
